Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Sharjah, this afternoon at Al Alam Palace.
At the outset of the meeting, His Majesty warmly welcomed His Highness, praising the deep-rooted relations and strong ties between the two brotherly countries. The two leaders discussed various areas of existing cooperation, particularly in the cultural, scientific, and historical fields, with His Majesty emphasizing the importance of further developing and enhancing these relations in ways that serve the mutual interests of both nations.
His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan expressed his heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan for the warm reception and generous hospitality, expressing his great pleasure at making this visit.
The meeting was attended by Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, and Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Royal Office.
On the Emirati side, attendees included Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority; Mohamed bin Nakhira Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman.
