

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and the Russian President witnessed the signing of an agreement, a protocol, and nine memoranda of understanding at the Kremlin Palace in the Russian capital, Moscow, as part of His Majesty's state visit to the Russian Federation. The areas included an agreement on mutual visa exemption, a protocol on economic and technical cooperation - a project to establish a joint economic committee, and memoranda of understanding on climate change and low-carbon development, transport and transit cooperation, cooperation in combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism, cooperation in the fisheries sector, and cooperation in the media, news, and information exchange sectors.
|These agreements also included memoranda of understanding between the Diplomatic Academy of the Sultanate of Oman and the Russian Diplomatic Academy, between the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Russian Roscongress Foundation, and between the Royal Academy of Administration and the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.
